variety of expertise and combined experience of over 200 years.
Our present compliment of 23 personnel comprising ten Legal staff and thirteen support staff provides the resources to enable us to deliver the highest quality of service to our clients.

Ranald initially joined Iain Smith & Partners as a newly
qualified Assistant in 1977. After moving to work in the Highlands,
he returned to the Borders in 1983 to join a practice in Selkirk,
and remained there, latterly as a sole practitioner, until 2004. Ranald
rejoined the firm in our Duns office in 2006. He now works as a Consultant
on property transactions, dealing with a wide variety of mainly commercial
and agricultural property as well as residential transactions and
some licensing work.
